Algebra 1
(Grades 7-10 Ages 12-16)
While most of our projects require math skills, our specialist classes allow our students to focus on a specific skill set in depth under the guidance of a specialist. This small class meets online once a week for 1 hour for 36 weeks. Students receive access to online software, a textbook, a student math pack, and access to the instructor during class. While the class meets once a week, each student will have math work scheduled four to five days per week.
This course begins with a review of operations using integers, fractions decimals, exponents, and roots. This course uses many real-world problems to tie the abstract concepts of algebra to tangible applications our students can see, touch, and measure. Students who successfully complete this course will earn a high school credit in mathematics. Tuesdays 2:05 -3:05 pm EDT |
