Our Philosophy
For a student to learn and understand, they should be immersed in the learning experience. We teach to develop the whole student. We focus on academic subjects but also psychological and emotional development. Our students are life-long learners who approach the world with questions of "why?", "how?", and "what can I do?". We don't just give our students information. Instead, we give them skills to find information themselves. We focus on meaningful work and minimize busy work. You won't find worksheets and language arts lessons that aren't connected to context. Instead, we use projects that connect students, their communities, and their areas of interest. We set our students up for success through interdisciplinary learning and collaborative community achievement. |
